Sebastian joined ITEP in 2014 through the State Policy Fellowship Program sponsored by the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities. Prior to joining ITEP, he earned his Masters in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Sebastian has held a number of positions in public policy, including a fellowship in the policy office of Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley and a stint as an aide to Montgomery County Councilmember George Leventhal. He also taught third grade in Lawrence, MA as a 2010 Teach for America corps member. Sebastian earned his undergraduate degree in political economy at Georgetown University, where he spent a year abroad at the London School of Economics. He is a native of Takoma Park, MD.
